2nd day in Tasmania (09/01/2009)

2nd Day (09/01/2009)
Journey
: Mount Wellington (Hobart) -> Kate's Berry Farm -> Muirs Bay
-> Freycinet Island

1st stop: Mount Wellington
The highest point in Hobart and took a s--t load of U-band to up-hill and down-hill, prepare for a hell time if you rent a crap car. Also, try go up there in winter, you will freeze your a--e off with ease. That morning that I went up there, around 5℃ and my fingers couldn't funtion properly. Anyhow, enough of this rattling, let's go down to the photos:

2nd stop: Kate's Berry Farm
On the way from Mt. Wellington to Fraycinet Island is Kate's Berry Farm. Here you can chill out and rest at her cafe. They serve fresh milk product e.g. fresh ice cream and a diverse variety of berry jam and they taste bloody delicious. Arh, one thing, they tend to serve ice cream base on people per cone. If you four people travelling, just order two cones and they will give you 3~4 cups of ice-cream per cone!!

3rd stop: Muirs Bay
At the south-western part of Fraycinet Island is the Muirs Bay (Coles Bay). Here you can enjoy sunshine, very fine sand beach and clear water swim. Also, you can join the Fraycinet Kayak tour and learn about the history of the island as you peddling around it. You can also join the bush walk tour located at 'The Hazards' mountain range on the southern part of this island.

4th stop: Freycinet Island (Beach Baby Holiday Retreat)
The last stop of the second day, 'Beach Baby Holiday Retreat. A neat and tidy holiday apartment for tourist. On the way to the retreat is the Freycinet Island Marine Fram where you can buy top grade seafood for real cheap. Beware though, don't walk in the fram bare foot because the whole ground is covered with shells!!
